You’re invited to spend an afternoon with Master Composters at the Open Space Visitor Center learning how to make and use actively aerated compost tea and extracts.
Tea brews made from quality compost or worm castings may be used to add nutrients and beneficial microbes to desert garden soil, enhancing soil fertility. The workshop includes useful information on biology, various materials, brewing methods, tailoring techniques and uses for finished compost tea. Aspects of desert soil biology and amending will be presented. Teas may be tailored to the needs of an individual soil profile.
Cost is $10. See Compost Tea and Extracts Workshop for agenda and registration information.
