The CORRALES GARDEN TOUR!!

Please join us in the garden on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, June 4, 2023

Consider volunteering for the Corrales Garden Tour! Sandoval Extension Master Gardeners are asked and encouraged to volunteer as garden docents, horticultural educators, and to promote sustainable gardening practices and the SEMG organization and its community projects on the day of the tour. This event will focus on gardening sustainably in the high desert.

The Corrales Garden Tour, an approved SEMG volunteer project, is an annual ticketed event that is open to the public.

This is a two-day commitment that volunteers are asked to make (May 20 and June 4):  

May 20, 2023: GROUP ORIENTATION AND GARDEN TRAINING SESSION – Saturday, May 20, 2023 – 9:45a – 1:00 pm. Meet at The Farm Stand – 4206 Corrales Rd., Corrales, NM. We will gather here and carpool to the other five gardens, returning to The Farm Stand for brief training and discussion of the gardens afterwards.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2023 — 6:00 pm, there will be a Zoom meeting (recorded) for volunteers to work together to plan features to highlight in each garden that showcase sustainable gardening practices. You will work from a checklist that SEMG has developed.

June 4, 2023:  GARDEN TOUR SHIFT –  On Sunday, June 4, 2023, — 8:30 am -12:30 pm and/or from 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Volunteers serve one half-day, previewing gardens on Saturday, May 20. Then, on the day of the tour, volunteers are admitted to all the other gardens free of charge. To earn SEMG Outreach Hours, volunteers must commit to both days, May 20 and June 4. Attendance is strongly encouraged for the May 23 23 Zoom meeting too. If you are unable to be present, a recording will be available for viewing afterwards.
