Join Dr. Amanda Skidmore for a workshop focused on managing insect pests in fruit. Both backyard gardeners and small farmers will learn about pest prevention and management strategies for common fruit pests: apple maggot fly, peach tree borer, spotted
wing drosophila, and more. Participants will learn about pest identification, monitoring traps, and pollinator protection. We will discuss how developing an integrated pest management plan for your backyard or farm can save money and reduce pests in both organic and conventional systems.
The cost is $15, cash or check, at the door. You will receive an apple maggot trap, peach bore trap/lure, sticky card, and more. No registration required.
