46 Annual Sandoval County Fair: “The Best Fair Ever”
Do you have cabin fever? How does a trip to Cuba sound? Cuba, New Mexico that is. The Sandoval County Fair is August 3rd-7th, however the Indoor Exhibit Hall is only open Thursday, August 4th through Saturday, August 6th, and SEMG will be manning a Master Gardener booth.
SEMG Volunteers Needed! This will be a great way to try to expand our presence throughout the county and to get your outreach hours. While it would be great to have a booth all three days, Friday and Saturday are the most important days since that is when the crowds will be largest. Please sign up on the volunteer sign-up page if you are interested in helping man the booth.
If you have vegetables or flowers you want to submit to the indoor exhibit judging, these need to be taken up on Monday, August 1st. However, Rachel Zweig has graciously agreed to take these from Bernalillo or Corrales to Cuba for you, so you don’t have to make the drive. If you exhibit vegetables, you need to submit three of a kind. Please contact Rachel Zweig (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested. Keep on gardening!
