47th Annual Sandoval County Fair: “The Best Fair Ever”
How does a trip to Cuba sound? Cuba, New Mexico that is. The Sandoval County Fair is coming soon! Next week, to be precise. The Master Gardeners will have a booth during the fair on two days: Friday and Saturday, August 4-5, 2023.
SEMG Volunteers are Needed! There is a morning shift (9:00am-12:30pm) and an afternoon shift (12:30 pm-4:00pm) on each day (August 4 and August 5). These four shifts are available to Master Gardener volunteers to meet your Outreach hours.
At the booth, we will have brochures and handouts on sustainable high-desert gardening and a demonstration on how to determine soil texture and be available to answer gardening questions. We want to expand our outreach beyond the southern part of the county and also try to recruit new interns for next year.
The fair is held at the Sandoval County Fairgrounds (37 Rodeo Rd, Cuba, NM 87013).
