The town of Bernalillo celebrates Arbor Day in Rotary Park on Friday April 26 from 3:00 PM to about 6:00 pm (or when they sell out of plants.) This is a great opportunity to promote SCMG and get your public outreach volunteer hours.
They will be selling plants from Plant World they obtain at cost, until they are sold out. (They give out free trees to residents of Bernalillo only)
Setup/ breakdown crew will need to deliver brochures and materials from point of origin to our table crew in Rotary Park. Breakdown crew needs to collect brochures and deliver them back to origin. We will email you where to pick them up.
Volunteers need to bring their own chairs.
Table will be set up under the pavilion so there will be shade.
There is plenty of parking, including handicap parking.
We need to be set up by 2:00pm for the pre-event meeting.
Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, insect repellant etc., as may be required to ensure your comfort. This is an outdoor event.
The Breakdown Crew will take brochures back to place of origin.
Rotary Park in Bernalillo directions: Highway 550 to Camino Don Tomas turn south, go to the end of Camino Don Tomas and turn right onto Rotary Park Road.
