New this year – Master Gardeners will be stationed at the reception desk in the Administration Lobby with a laptop and hotline cell phone (1500 Idalia Road, Building D, Room 1049 and lobby). The seed library catalogue is located in front of the reception desk. You will also have access to the office for resources and the Master Gardener Desktop. Hotline volunteers take phone calls from the public from May through October (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only) 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Sign up for a 3-hour shift to answer calls from the public regarding gardening questions, answer questions from walkins, and process plant samples if needed. Some research may be necessary to find correct answers to questions. Resources are available in the office and NMSU online publications. Lynda will also have some support tasks for you to complete, such as creating a resource binder with circulars and fact sheets based on common hotline questions.
